Websites of interest to the people of South Hill:

For those interested in astronomy, here are a couple of local links:

Callington Space Centre
Callington Community Astronomy Group

Farmers' Markets: find them listed here on the Tamar Valley Tourism Association (TAVATA) website

Lynher Parishes History Site:  with photographs of the Parish; transcripts from church registers of births; marriages and burials; and other interesting historical information

Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty: The Tamar Valley, bordering Cornwall and Devon, is one of the most beautiful and historically significant areas in the UK. The Valley was designated an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) in 1955

Drawn to the Valley: A group of local artists formed in 2003, mainly as a support network but also in order to promote the Tamar Valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and to contribute to the regeneration of the local economy

Lynher Valley Session: "a loose collection of musicians, or maybe a collection of loose musicians" (as it says on their website), including members from South Hill Parish. If you enjoy folk and country music, or any live music in pubs, check out their site for Session Dates. These people have to be heard to be believed!

Young Farmers Club: There is a thriving branch in Callington, open to all young people (not just farmers!). Young Farmers enjoy a busy social life, plenty of organised (and disorganised) events, and make many contacts with other clubs all over the UK. If you are interested to find out more, contact Cat Ede by email or phone 07900 381 890.
